Lovely Professional University (LPU) is a private university located in Phagwara, Punjab, India. The Lovely International Trust established the institution according to the provisions of the Lovely Professional Universities Act, 2005, which was passed as Punjab Act 25 of 2005. Its services started in 2006. The Lovely Professional University is accredited by the University Grants Commission, National Council for Teacher Education, Architectural Council, and Pharmaceutical Council of India. Lovely Professional University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities. The Bar Council of India has approved the legal program.
