Alagappa University Distance Education

Alagappa University is a public university located in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India. It has its origins in the Alagappa College of Arts, founded by Alagappa Chettiar in 1947 and established in 1985 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Under the Tamil Nadu Universities Act, 2002, it was converted from a unitary type to an affiliated type, with jurisdiction over liberal arts and sciences universities in Ramanathapuram and Sivaganga districts.
